Last year's Eart Fest in Morongo Valley
Saturday, April 23 2005 at Covington Park
The Morongo Valley Chamber in partnership with the Morongo Valley CSD with cooperation from the County of San Bernardino - Code Enforcement Division is sponsoring the day's events. All will take place on Earth Day, Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Covington Park.
The schedule includes:
- Tire Recycling - 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Ball Fields parking lot, Supported by San Bernardino, County Code Enforcement and the Morongo Valley Clean Team. The first 100 recyclers will receive a free raffle ticket to the Firefighters Auxiliary Raffle with valuable prizes.
- Breakfast - 8:00 am to 11:00 a.m. - Put on by the Firefighters Auxiliary($6 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under)
- Bird Walks at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve - 7:30 a.m.
- Crafts Show - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Coordinated by Jeannie Dix
- Art Show & Demonstrations - 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Community Organization Information Tables - 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Live Music throughout the day
- Covington Park Dedication Ceremony - 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Veggie Dog Lunch - Noon to 2 p.m. Sponsored by the CSD and cooked by George of the Spunky Monkey Cafe.
All events and activities will take place in Historic Morongo Valley's Covington Park and adjacent ball fields.
Communities throughout the high desert will be honoring Mother Earth on that Saturday.
